My P trap was clean and not clogged. I still have water not draining.
You did that all wrong, and yet you posted the video anyway. What a twit. 🙃
Hey, thanks so much for this video. This was way easier than I thought it would be thanks to your tutorial.
Ye be most welcome, matey - glad it helped! Smooth sailin'!
The French word to use here is not viola (a string instrument slightly larger than a violin) but voilà (pronounced vwäˈlä).
I guess my sarcasm didn't come through... ;-)
Thank you.. saved time and money for me 👍
Ye be most welcome matey - that be the target!
Thank you so much your video helped us to fix our hot tap problem todah
Ye be most welcome, matey - smooth sailin'!
Can faulty inlet valve leave water in the bottom?
Probably not. If there are no clogs, it's most likely a faulty drain pump.
Thanks!
Ye be most welcome - smooth sailin'!
Turned off the hot water under the sink to fix the sink faucet, and now the shut off leaks...
Aye, that happens. But it's an easy fix. Although the video link below is for an outside faucet, the fix is the same on the valve. Let me know if this works for you. ua-cam.com/video/KDAB0HjgYYs/v-deo.html
Super helpful info for a quick repair this morning.. the single hungs had a different method on the ones the company i worked for built so this helped understand this method. A big thanks for the vid. Worth subscribing to the channel.
Aye, matey, thank ye for the kind words - glad this was helpful. Smooth sailin'!
Thank you, this is my current situation, and my faucet resembles yours. The drip is cold so I'm presuming cold water side. Hopefully I can find the seats & springs to replace. My faucet is probably a late 90s model.
Aye, matey, I would go ahead and replace both sides. The seats and springs usually come in pairs anyway. Let me know how it goes!
@@thepiratehandyman2225 Thank you, s/h done that but was pressed for time.
Forgot how easy it goes together, forgot how easy it would come apart. This was ridiculously helpful for a f65 even.
Aye, matey, glad you found it helpful - smooth sailin'!
Thank you so much! I’m a woman, my husband is been working 7 days a week and still cant pay for a plumber this days😢, at this moment im very sick with the flu and dealing with a 2 yr old, I had to fix it, it took me a few tries from other vídeos but Mr pirate you explain it calmly and made this suggestion of removing the tube that connects the garbage disposal with wall, my water was going down very slowly , the disposal was working but water was staying, when I removed the tube, buala😂, all the rice I stupidly dumped in the sink was there stuck, I dont have a snake, so I grabbed the vacuum I have for water and sucked all the rice from the wall connection, it worked like a charm, thank you, im a new follower🙌👍😃
Ye be most welcome, lass - I'm glad this helped you - smooth sailin'!

Thanks. I just had to replace the bulb and you helped me.
Aye, lass, glad it helped - smooth sailin'!
My dishwasher clogged last night. Once you mentioned the lasagna it dawned on me I put a particularly crusty casserole in the day before. I’ll bet that’s the problem. Two tips,,, Put a towel across the bottom when removing the screws to catch them and keep them from bouncing around. And probe very gently, there could be broken glass stuck
Great tips - thank ye, matey!
good so far, ill I will try it
Ye can do it, matey - smooth sailin'!
👏🏻 Thanks for the great video. My faucets don’t “seem” to have the seats and springs but just an old school washer. But there are these metal inserts that screw on at the bottom. I keep wondering if they should be adjusted a particular way to stop drips.
Aye, matey, are the washers rubber?
❤❤❤
Thank ye, lass!
I love this, subscribed immediately thank you
Thank ye, lass, much appreciated - smooth sailin'!
Very well presented overall...but I agree with an earlier commenter's sentiment, it would have been a good idea to mention shutting off the circuit breaker to the light fixture earlier, before you start monkeying with the wires inside. It would also be useful to show how to use a non-contact voltage tester to insure the circuit is actually off. If someone doesn't know which breaker the fixture is on, and nothing else is on that breaker, they will have no other way of safely telling if the power has been shut off.
Thank ye for the tip, matey!
Dude resemble Mick Foley💪🏾
Aye, I've heard that a few times...LOL.
Please tell us which size STAR driver is required. Thanks!
Sorry, matey, but I'm not sure. It was the smallest in my set of 5, but I can't read the inscription on it - my apologies!
I hv the same window. Just when I open the bottom part of the window, the top part will gradually go down. Will your replacement help my problem?
It might, but if both windows move, you have a double-hung window. I have not worked on one of those - sorry!
Nice & clear & u made it looks doable, but mine is now leaking even when I shut it off under the sink. Do u think this will fix my problem or do I have to do something with the shut off, under my sink?
Aye, lass, you probably need to replace the grommets on the shut-off valves, as well. Although the video link below is for an outside faucet, the fix is the same. ua-cam.com/video/KDAB0HjgYYs/v-deo.html
Thanks for this. Super helpful! I really didn’t want to have to call a plumber.
Ye be most welcome, lass - glad it helped!
Gotta love those old shit builder grade windows...😅
Aye, truth!
Thank you so much!! Have a blessed day.
Ye be most welcome, matey, and ye have a blessed day, too!

You really helped me today, thanks so much for your clear explanations.
Aye, lass, thank ye for the kind words - glad it helped!
YOU SAVED ME ... I checked another video previously and he left out the part about the channel locks ... once I set the balances in the locks the window installed perfectly. THANKS.

Thanks for the information
Ye be most welcome, matey - smooth sailin'!
thank you for this video , but i have a maybe stupid question where to stay with it ?
Aye, lass, great question! If you don't need it and don't want the bother of selling it, call a local Veteran's organization, and they are usually happy to come and pick it up.
Could both be leaking?
Aye, lass, that is very possible.
Thanks for your video. Searching and searching for this type of faucet repair. Bingo...here it wss..perfect. Thanks again!
Ye be most welcome, matey - glad it helped!
Any tips on moving it? I have a handtruck and ratcheting straps to secure to with, but I might need additional tools if it need to be sideways . I’m (me , myself, and I ) moving my F80 from the basement to my garage to sell it.
Aye, matey, that be an issue! Do you have friends or family with a couple of strappin' lads that could help? If not, you will need to set the deck on its side on the handtruck, and secure it with ratchet straps. Good luck, me hearty!
Worked like a charm thank you sir your awesome 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Brother, this was a fantastic tutorial!! Thank you
Ye be most welcome, matey, and thank ye for the kind words. Smooth sailin'!
Love the video and seems greatly informative. However, I’m having an issue. I have 2 handles instead for my hot and cold water. When doing all the steps you did above, after I took the cartridges out (which was a major pain) I was unable to find the seats and springs that you had mentioned. The handles/faucet themselves seem to go a lot further down as well in comparison to yours. Is it possible my faucet just doesn’t have those seats and springs? After draining the excess water with toilet paper where the handles were, that had stopped the drip. However, when I turned the water back on (after reinstalling everything of course) and shut them off, the slow leak returned. I should also add, I still had a very slow drip when I turned both the hot and cold water off. Any ideas? Thanks
Aye, matey, let's first tackle the dripping water when you turn off the feeder valves. There is a grommet on the end of the valve stem that probably needs replacing. The video link below, though for an outside faucet, is the same concept. ua-cam.com/video/KDAB0HjgYYs/v-deo.html As for not having seats and springs, does the valve handle have a grommet on the end, like show in the video above? If so, then the fix is the same. If not, then you may have to replace the cartridge.
Sorry about the much later reply, definitely not my intention. I ended up changing the cartridge on both sides and that did the trick. Appreciate the help and the knowledge.
Where did you get your patch? I need a good patch. Thanks!
Leather Arts and Crafts, in Canada. Go to Amazon, search Leather Eye Patch, and you will find them. Good luck, matey!
Thanks 🙏 @@thepiratehandyman2225
Always remember that the black wire is the hot wire, like the red one. The black wire must connect with another black wire or brown wire if you have one that coming from the switch and breaker.
Thank ye for the reminder, matey!
@@thepiratehandyman2225 Yes sir! Arr✌🏽😁
@@thepiratehandyman2225 Sometimes the wires can burn 🔥 including the red wires and the black wire can catch fire 🔥 if they didn't wire correctly and the fluorescent light ballast can burn. Lastly the breaker trip and electric sparks.
Be careful handling the wires on the fluorescent light ballast especially the black wire and the red wires.
Good tips all, matey!
I had a leaky faucet that looks almost the same as in this video, and replaced both seats and springs with your help. Now, the leak is gone. Thank you very much.
Ye be most welcome, matey - glad this helped! Smooth sailin'!
your a better plumber than I am if you can even get a power driver up in there!
Aye, matey, years of practice and patience - ye can do it!
The "Finepoint" Sharpies also work well, and are very quick. Standard is black, but you can get them also in various colors including white.
Thank ye for the tip, matey!
